Rega Planer 1

Collections: Rega Turntables

Type: Turntable

Rega have been setting the standard for turn table design and value for money performance for over thirty years. The very latest P1 is absolutely clear value for money and performance for anyone looking to get into vinyl for the first time or those blowing the dust of their collection and wanting to relive the glory of LP's.

The P1 is as user friendly as it gets. Pre fitted with a REGA carbon cartridge you can be playing a record within minutes of unpacking.

The new P1 has a bunch of features not normally found in an 'entry level' turn table. A low noise 24V synchronous motor reduces vibration transfer and drivers a machined aluminum pulley offering low noise and better speed uniformity.

The latest RB110 tonearm is fitted with Rega's bespoke zero play and ultra low friction bearings - keeping the cartridge in perfect alignment at all times. Also with automatic bias adjustment this is the most user friendly turn table produced by Rega.

In typical Rega fashion the sub chassis is very light and transfers vibrations away quickly. Available in gloss black or white.

The new 23mm higher mass phenolic platter has an improved flywheel effect for better speed control and is mounted on a redesigned brass main bearing.

The P1 comes standard with a dust cover and fitted ready to play with the Rega Carbon cartridge.

Performance upgrades are possible due to the quality of the tone arm. Improve the sound by a big margin by putting an Ortofon 2M RED or 2M BLUE cartridge or the ultimate performance upgrade - Fit a Soundsmith Otello cartridge to the P1 and you've got yourself a turn table that would sound better than many costing three times as much.
