Chord HUGO TT-2 DAC/Headphone Amplifier, Preamplifier

Chord

Collections: Chord DAC's, Headphone Amp / DAC's, New

Type: DAC

Tonally similar, but a serious increase in resolution to our multi-award winning portable, Hugo 2 the Hugo TT-2 is a highly tuned thoroughbred Table Top DAC/Preamp capable of unearthing the most minor nuances and delivering stunning clarity. Bigger, better and more advanced in every way.

The Hugo TT-2 (TT stands for Table Top) has been redicaly redesigned from the groud up. It sets a new benchmark in performance with both 758KHz PCM and 512 DSD playback capability.

256 tap filters are typical of what most other DAC's run, at the hear of the TT-2 is a Xilinx Artix 7 FPGA (Forward Programmable Gate Array), with custom coding from Chord - with 86 cores running at 208MHz in parallel producing a massive 98,000 taps filter.

It's also benefited by a new high power output stage with second order noise shaping which massively reduces distortion. It's also backed up with a breakthrough power supply using six sper capacitors capable of delivering huge, linear and incredibly dynamic current into the processor - peak current output is an unbelievable but true - 5A at nearly 10volts.

Again Chord set the bar for others who dare to follow. Match with the brand new Hugo M Scaler and there's  digitl front end to rival anything on the planet.
